SIGMA Inspiration Photo of the Week Contest: Propositions

The organiser of SIGMA Inspiration Photo of the Week contest is Solus d.o.o., Hrvatskoselska 1, 10250 Zagreb-Lučko, Croatia (hereinafter: Solus d.o.o.). Its intention is to promote SIGMA products and the artistic excellence of its users.

The rules of the contest are as follows:

  1. In order to be eligible to participate, the contestants must join the SIGMA Inspiration Facebook group following this URL address:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/sigmainspiration/.

  1. The contestants may participate in the contest by posting an image taken with either a SIGMA camera or SIGMA lenses (subject to verification), between Monday (27 April 2020) at 00:00 hours and Sunday (3 May 2020) at 23:59 hrs CET. They should also receive at least 51 Facebook likes on their posted image within this timeframe to qualify for the contest. These likes should be given by other group members.
  2. The authors are encouraged to state the camera and the lens used to take the photo within the post.
  3. The contestants may post a maximum of one image per day.
  4. The images should not contain any additional text, watermarks or other graphics.
  5. The contestants must be over 18 and have permanent residence in one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia. The employees of Solus d.o.o. and their family members are not eligible to participate.
  6. The contestants agree that these images may be used or shared by Solus d.o.o. on Facebook, Instagram, websites and other channels of communication for promotional and other purposes, with author attribution within or next to the image.
  7. A jury comprised of Solus experts, associates and photographers will evaluate the images which have the necessary qualifications and decide which photo wins the SIGMA Inspiration Photo of the Week prize. They will also list the first three contestants, so the second and third contestant will also receive recognition.
  8. The prize for the first week, between 27 April 2020 and 3rd May 2020, is Boya BY-MM1 Mini Cardioid Condenser Microphone.
  9. The prize winner for the first week will be announced by 8th May 2020 (within five days after the end date for submissions), primarily and officially on sigma-foto.hr website in Croatian language, and in SIGMA Inspiration Facebook group in English. However, additional announcements may be posted to: sigma-foto.si and sigma-foto.rs websites, on SIGMA Adria Facebook page and on SIGMA Adria Instagram profile.
  10. Any objections or complaints to the results of this contest should be sent to info@solus.com.hr email address, titled “Complaint to SIGMA Inspiration Photo of the Week” by 13th May 2020 (within five days after the publication of results).
  11. Although Solus d.o.o. will cover the shipping cost to countries listed in item 6. of these Rules, it still holds the right to charge shipping cost in case the contestant wants the item to be delivered to another country or depending on the current epidemiological, health and/or economic situation within one or more of these countries.
  12. Solus d.o.o. may decide to run additional weekly contests with other prizes, in which case items 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12 remain the same, and items 2, 9, 10 and 11 are changed accordingly to contain the start and end dates of the week in which the contest is run. The announcement and complaint dates in item 10 and 11 are changed according to the number of days stated in brackets. The prizes for these additional contests may or may not be given, but they will be stated in the announcement of every additional contest, if applicable.
